Poster SnipingPoster sniping campaigns are a highly visible and low-cost way to get a guerilla marketing message out to consumers. Done mostly in urban markets, posters are often placed in unauthorized locations such as temporary walls shielding construction sites, outdoor building surfaces, and restrooms. Rip-away posters are the latest concept in snipe media, offering a high level of consumer involvement, encouraging consumers to interact with the media. Rip-away posters give consumers a way to take home a piece of a guerilla marketing campaign, display it themselves, and build brand loyalty. Rip-away posters are more versatile than other street poster formats because they can be implemented on walls, fences, kiosks, and other street-level areas. Poster sniping campaigns can target hard-to-reach suburb locations such as skate parks, beach boardwalks, schoolyards, and downtown shopping areas. Environmentally Friendly Poster Sniping?Another new idea is to snipe your way into the public consciousness with static cling posters. These ads are printed on static cling material and posted in typical guerilla marketing fashion in areas that are often traditionally restricted from media.
