Golf In OrlandoGolf in Orlando is everywhere! To many, it seems like all the land that hasn't been used by the amusement parks, restaurants, shopping, and lodging has been turned wet and green for our favorite sport. All the golf courses in Orlando aren't the flat, wide fairways that we would imagine, though. You'll find golf in Orlando is as challenging and beautiful and anywhere. It's affordable, prevalent, and challenging, so while the kids are visiting Mickey, visit one of our featured places to play golf in Orlando. Featured Places to Play Golf in OrlandoEasily the finest golf course in Orlando is at the famed Falcon's Fire Golf Club. This Rees Jones signature, classic, par 72 golf course will make you feel like you've just gotten a raise, sold your stock, mortgaged the house and joined a country club. Everything about Falcon's Fire shouts amenities and taste, from the valet parking to the club cleaning service, and the 18 holes you will experience will make you understand why golf is such a great game to play. Slopes between 126 and 138 will test your abilities on this links style place to play golf in Orlando, and water will find your errant shots on nine holes. Prices range by day and season. This is a "cart only" course, walking is not permitted. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the beautiful MetroWest Country Club to be both fair and demanding. The gold tees will take you more than 7,000 yards and challenge you with a slope of 126, yet the novice will enjoy the 6,000-yard white tees with its slope of a manageable 115. Yes, it's still central Florida, but you'll be amazed to find elevation changes of more than 100 feet as you try to avoid the water and huge sand hazards. Reasonably priced, MetroWest is worth a visit. Designer Joe Lee calls Dear Island Golf and Lake Club the most unique course he has ever designed, and for good reason. This is an island dedicated to golf! While it's currently open to the public (as of this writing), Dear Island will eventually be closed to the public. With a slope of 137 over 6,600 yards, it won't be the length that will test you, but the water and sand that seems to everywhere. You'll want to golf in Orlando at Dear Island soon, before it goes private and goes away forever. ![]() Get all Golf articles via
