New Orleans GolfBesides jazz and great food, people are beginning to realize that New Orleans golf is just as big a draw to this delta town. Play golf in the day, eat at one of the country's best restaurants for dinner, and then groove to the music at night. New Orleans golf courses are top rated and offer the perfect combination of challenge and reward, reasonably priced between $80 and $180, there is something for everyone. We will feature a few of our picks for places to play New Orleans golf. Featured New Orleans Golf CoursesOur first featured New Orleans course is the Robert B. Harris designed Lakewood Country Club. This semi-private par 72 gem offers a challenging slope of 134 over 7,000 yards of Old South charm. Mature oaks will block your destination if you don't hit the ball just right, and if water is something you fear stay away. Money Hill Golf and Country Club has been voted the best New Orleans course for good reason. It has tees for every level of play and boasts a challenging slope of 135 from the black tee. This 7,000-yard, Ron Garl designed treasure got its name from the smuggling money that legend says is still buried somewhere on the course. Leave your shovel at home and bring all of your clubs to this New Orleans course, you'll need them all on this one. It's about an hours drive from downtown, but there is a shuttle service that will take you and your clubs right to the door. Our final choice of places to play New Orleans golf is Rabbit's Foot at Eastover. When comparing Eastover's other course, the Teeth of The Gator, people think Rabbit's Foot is easy because of the cute name. While it isn't as grueling as the Gator, Rabbit's Foot can be a very challenging test of your shot making ability. Priced at under $100, Rabbit's Foot at Eastover is a great choice of places to play New Orleans golf. You might also want to check out the courses at English Turn Golf Club, Oak Harbor Golf Club, or the TPC of Louisiana. ![]() Get all Golf articles via
