Orlando GolfOrlando has long been known as vacation's paradise, and Orlando golf courses are a large part of that attraction. Nearly every resort hotel in the area has an associated golf course. They are well maintained and offer something for everyone. Hey, you can't spend all of your time visiting amusement parks, try golf as an alternative. Here are a few picks of our favorite Orlando courses for you to experience. Featured Orlando Golf CoursesOur first featured Orlando course is Forest Lake Golf Club. This is a "golf only" course designed, built and owned by Clifton, Ezell and Clifton Design Group. They wanted trees to boarder the fairways rather that condos as is so prevalent on so many Orlando golf courses. Incorporating many old oaks and pines into their layout, they wanted to create an golf course for the serious player. There are five sets of tees to start you off on this 7,000 yard par 72 course that will have you using every club in your bag. With a slope of 125 and reasonably priced, this is where the locals play golf. Grande Lakes, the Greg Norman designed Orlando golf course associated with the Ritz-Carlton is one of the newest Orlando destinations. This 7,100-yard championship course offers the pampering that you would expect from the Ritz-Carlton. You will have a caddie/concierge to assist you with advice on the course, arrange food and beverage service wherever and whenever you want it, clean you clubs and fix your divots. Treat yourself to a round that includes a one-hour lesson for around $225. Want a tough course to play Orlando golf on, try the very newly created Walkabout Golf and Country Club. You can test your skill on this championship 7,115-yard course with a slope of 143. You'll wander through hardwood wetlands as you try to avoid the many bunkers that will seem to attract your missed shots. This is a residential Orlando golf course, but still a great test for a great price. ![]() Get all Golf articles via
