Scottsdale Golf CoursesWe have several pages on this site dedicated to Scottsdale golf courses because they are simply so great and so plentiful. Most golfers bring their cameras along to play Scottsdale courses because of the beauty that surrounds these gems. Leave the umbrellas at home because it doesn't rain much on Scottsdale golf courses, and they only water after you've gone for the day. With prices ranging from under $50 to close to $200, you will be able to find a course that fits your pocketbook. We will feature three more of our favorite Scottsdale golf courses to help you decide which one you'd like to enjoy. Featured Scottsdale Golf CoursesThe first of this page's Featured Scottsdale golf courses is Phantom Horse Golf Club at South Mountain. Bill Johnston designed this course to be a combination of desert and links style. This relatively short course runs about 6,100 yards but plays as hard as much longer offerings. This is the sister course to The Raven, and some would say it's the kinder, gentler sister. One really great Scottsdale golf course is the Tom Fazio designed Greyhawk Golf Club - Raptor Course. This will test every club in you bag and your nerves as well. The Raptor is a par 72 with a slope of 136 and will cost in the upper range of Scottsdale courses. It is one of those courses that usually ranks as best in state. Even tougher than the Raptor is the other Greyhawk offering, the Talon Course. This one has a slope of a gut wrenching 141, and plays out about 7,000 yards. The signature eleventh hole, called "swinging bridge" is a par 3 that requires a carry over a huge ravine to an elevated green that is unbelievably protected. The eleventh has been voted one of the best 18 holes of golf in the country. ![]() Get all Golf articles via
