Increasing Mold Allergy Symptoms?

More and more people are developing allergies in recent years. Mold allergy symptoms are among the most common. People who are exposed to mold infestations in homes or businesses often discern a variety of symptoms associated with allergic reactions.

Toxic molds can cause a variety of symptoms. Generally, these symptoms are not dangerous. They include headaches, sore throats, skin rashes, persistent flu-like symptoms, and even nosebleeds and headaches. Exposure to very high levels of stachybotrys chartarum is the suspected cause of death in very young infants and some persons with repressed immune systems.

How to Know if You Have Mold Allergy Symptoms

You know when you're getting a cold or the flu. You may have a headache or experience burning eyes, a scratchy throat, fatigue, or a cough. If you are truly getting a flu, the symptoms will quickly progress to the point where you need to get to bed. The symptoms will, however, eventually go away.

If your symptoms persist for several months, or even years, without getting much worse and with no other obvious cause, you may have developed an allergy to a type of mold in your environment. If the problem is in your work environment, you may find that the symptoms diminish over the weekend or when you take a vacation. Symptoms that persevere over long periods of time should be investigated by your physician who may recommend medication and/or a mold inspection of your home or workplace.
