Sacramento New HomesOne of the first choices a prospective home buyer will need to make is whether to look for a used home or a new home. There are advantages to both choices, to be sure. But if given a completely free choice, I think the majority of home buyers would choose a brand new one, finished to their own specifications. In Sacramento new homes are plentiful and easy to find. The question is, what type of home are you looking for, and how much do you want to pay. Beautiful new neighborhoods are springing up, that's for sure. The majority of Sacramento new homes begin in the $200,000 range, and for a particularly good neighborhood you can expect your prices to begin in the $400,000 range. Sacramento New Homes Neighborhood AssociationsWhen you've chosen your new neighborhood, one of your first steps will be to contact the neighborhood association to make sure that they don't have any rules that could affect you either way. You will already have spied out the land and made sure that your new neighbors look like people you'd all be happy with. If you have pets for example, make sure that the neighborhood rules do not restrict you in any way that would be uncomfortable for you, your family or your pets. Neighborhood associations are there to ensure that the neighborhood is as enjoyable as possible for everyone, and to promote a sense of community. They will also act as mediators if the residents have any official problems at any time. The existence of a neighborhood association is generally a positive point to look for when choosing your new neighborhood. If one doesn't exist, perhaps you might consider getting together with some of your new neighbors and starting one. ![]() Get all California Real Estate articles via
