Odor FiltersOdor filters are a must for any active, functioning home. Daily life brings with it a myriad of activities, such as cooking, playing with pets, having children, throwing parties, and the like. These activities give life its meaning and pleasure. However, they also can leave lingering odors in the home that can become unpleasant after a while. This is why odor filters were invented. Some people tend to think of odors as "just smells." In other words, they're just an abstraction. However, odors are much more than that. Odors are actual particulate matter and vapors which enter our respiratory system. These odors can be a source of allergies and aggravate existing respiratory problems, such as asthma. What Odor Filters DoFor example, if you have guests who smoke, the lingering smell of cigarette smoke can stay for days. Besides, it's not good for others to breathe it in. Lingering smoke can irritate the respiratory system, causing coughing and a sore throat. In asthma sufferers, smoke odors can definitely aggravate their condition. Cigarette smoke is made up of very small particles, about .3 micron in size. Odor filters have the ability to capture particles these small and hold them there, never to enter the atmosphere again. Other examples of smells that odor-reducing filters can eliminate are pet smells, cooking odors, chemical gases such as aerosol sprays, and bathroom odors. ![]() Get all Industrial Supplies articles via
