Space Gard Filters

Space Gard filters are designed for use with the Space Gard brand of air purifying units. These filters meet industry standards of efficient filtration of particle-born pollutants from the air. Of course, these units are meant to be operated indoors, usually in the home. They are designed to work in conjunction with the home's furnace and/or air conditioning system, cleaning the air of irritating particle matter before distributing it throughout the home.

If air isn't cleaned before it enters the complex system of ductwork, then the particles it contains can clog up ducts with dirt-like, linty material. This is not only bad for the ventilation system, but it's absolutely awful to breathe. These particles include high concentrations of allergens such as dust, pollen, mold and mildew, and dander. Breathing these substances in over a long period of time-or even on a short-term basis--can cause allergic reactions. It can even lead to chronic illness, depending on the sensitivity of the individual.

Features of Space Gard Filters

The following information will help give you some idea of what Space Gard filters can deliver. Space Gard air filters have a superior MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rating of 8. A continuous edge seals the media to the beverage cardboard frame. Also, for better frame rigidity, the filter media is separated by die-cut fingers.

To limit air bypass, which cuts down on filter efficiency, a foam gasket has been placed around the filter. Space Gard filters have superior wet strength, and come completely assembled. There is nothing you need to do, no cutting, no special fitting, etc., other than pop the filter into its housing and it's ready to go to work for you.
