Firefighter BBQ Aprons

by Will Baum

Firefighter BBQ aprons lend a humorous, somewhat macho slant on an item that may otherwise not be considered manly. At this late date, aprons still are associated mainly with women. Today, more and more men cook, and not just "cook out." There's no reason firefighter BBQ aprons can't be used in the kitchen as well as on the back patio.

Firefighter BBQ Aprons Make The Man

BBQ cooking usually involves making fires and not putting them out. Without lighter-fluid infused coals or a coal cylinder, people have few weapons against extinguished coals. The hands down favorite is a squirt of lighter fluid.

There always seems to be someone on hand to disapprove of squirting lighter fluid at an open flame. The flame can catch and ride up the stream, they'll say. The can of lighter fluid will blow up in your hand. These are the kind of safety tips that often run on local TV news shows before the holiday weekend. Do you know anyone who has lost a hand to lighter fluid?

Other unwelcome tips include placing grills 15 to 20 feet from houses, cars, and trees. Who has a backyard that big? Tipsters will also advise not to let children play near a grill that is being used. Again, a question: Who wants to spend their BBQ time yelling at kids? BBQ time is important for the family feeling and the potential for explosions. All you need is the outfit. The Internet is a great place to find firefighter BBQ aprons to fit your style.
