Cary homes open doors to a wide selection of cultural and civic and sporting activities. Its Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival has evolved into one of the premier festivals in the South.

Within a 30-mile radius of any of the Cary homes you might choose are scores of libraries, theater productions, several museums and a number of arboretums. The triangle area offers major league hockey, triple-A baseball and college sports from all three universities. Golf, too, is taken seriously, as it is throughout the state. An annual golf classic draws big names from the entertainment and sporting world to raise funds for cancer research.

Cary's largest employer is the privately held software company SAS Institute. IBM, MCI, Lucent Technologies and Siemens are also have a significant industrial presence. Business 2.0 magazine has put the town and the triangle area at the top of its list of cities creating high-wage job opportunities.
