Buying Chapel Hill Homes

by Helen Glenn Court

Are you down to the stage of wanting to get serious about buying Chapel Hill homes? If so, you've done your research in North Carolina's Piedmont. You've gotten your bearings in the area. You know the amenities, or you know of them.

Factors Playing into Buying Chapel Hill Homes

You've chosen Chapel Hill over other options in the greater triangle area because you prefer the smaller town over the larger. Chapel Hill, after all, has a population of some 52,000 to the state capital Raleigh's 317,009, Durham's 110,000 or Cary's 104,000. You like that. You like and want to be in at home where the nation's oldest public university is home, even if you weren't born in 1789. The gentle rolling hills of the Piedmont appeal do you.

So do the wide variety of cultural and leisure and sporting activities appeal to you. Golf, of course, is way up there in the third category. One of the reasons North Carolina appealed to you was how seriously it takes its golf, that and that Pinehurst lies only 60 miles southeast. These are all why you've joined the ranks of those buying Chapel Hill homes.

That the Great Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway are within a reasonable drive is good. And the Outer Banks have long been a family favorite. It's now where you have your family gatherings every summer. These kinds of family memories can be yours when you take a look at buying Chapel Hill real estate.
