Claremont Real Estate

by Amy Hall

Claremont real estate, not unlike Glendora real estate and other markets in the area, is very strong and continues to grow each year. Claremont is located just 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, which makes it an ideal location to live if you work in the city but don't want to reside in the city. Claremont homes don't stay on the market for very long, as there usually is a long list of potential buyers vying for the same house.

Claremont has a very strong Spanish flavor, as it was the Mexican-Americans who worked the citrus groves long ago. In addition, Claremont is widely known for it's fine colleges and schools in the area, namely Pomona College. Perhaps when you think of Claremont, you will think of an evolving city that still holds strong to that small-town heritage of the past. Claremont has some gorgeous homes that are quite diverse, from Victorian to Spanish Colonial, which makes it all the more appealing to potential buyers.

Booming Claremont Real Estate

The diverse Claremont real estate market has been able to flourish because of the wide range of housing choices available to it's residents. With roughly 34,000 residents, the city has progressed well, with solid job opportunities, exceptional schools, and wonderful tree-lined neighborhoods. Families can feel safe raising their children here as the crime rate is relatively low, and the educational system is highly regarded, with most students attending Claremont High School going on to attend college. As a result, Claremont real estate has continued to grow right along with the community.

Another perk to living in Claremont is that you can expect to spend a great deal of your time outdoors. With the San Gabriel Mountains at your doorstep, and the warm sun shining pretty much year round, residents are often found outside in the garden, jogging, playing golf or tennis, or simply just relaxing in the yard. When you live in Claremont, the sun makes an appearance practically every day, commanding you to come outside and play.
