Covina Real Estate

by Amy Hall

Covina real estate has slowly but surely been catching up to the markets in other areas, such as Claremont, San Dimas, and Alta Loma. While Covina has historically been known as a citrus and farmland community, there have been many advancements in terms of job opportunities in the last decade. In fact, IKEA, which is the Swedish furniture superstore, has opened up shop in Covina, providing many jobs in retail and management.

There are also some plans in the works that should help boost the Covina real estate market even further. These plans include building mid to high-end income housing. More than likely, Covina residents will begin to see apartments and townhomes being built over storefronts that will connect the heart of the city with residential zones.

Growing Covina Real Estate

While Covina still has strong characteristics of being a citrus town, it has managed to evolve to in order to meet the demands of an expanding population. Included in the commercial projects for the future are the plans to bring nightlife and entertainment to the downtown area, including restaurants, shops and boutiques, as well as bars and lounges. As of right now, residents can head to the Covina Valley Playhouse for top-notch live performances, or to the AMC Covina 30 to take in a movie in the one of the largest theaters in the Los Angeles area.

Covina real estate is going to grow in leaps and bounds in the near future, as more and more people are heading to this area to put down some roots. With the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains in the near distance, and the sun shining almost year round, Covina is the perfect place to settle down. In addition, it's close proximity to Los Angeles makes it perfect for those who work in L.A. but choose not to live there.
