Porsche 944 Turbo parts maintain the performance and reliability of one of the best handling sports cars of all time. The Porsche 944 was an evolution of the Porsche 924 that was originally developed in collaboration with Audi. The 924 was the first liquid-cooled Porsche model, utilizing the Audi 100's four-cylinder power plant.

The major design feature that distinguished the Porsche front-engine, rear-drive coupes from all competitors was the unique transaxle layout that kept the clutch in the front of the car with the engine but moved the transmission to the rear transaxle. Porsche took advantage of this excellent balance by giving the car a four-cylinder engine derived from its 928 V-8.
