Night Vision - Optics and Goggles
Night Vision BinocularsNight vision binoculars provide security for you and your loved ones in the dead of night. Night vision equipment like the Night Jaguar binoculars gives you an important edge over intruders and prowlers: you'll be able to see in the dark, and they won't. The hope is that you will never have to use these night vision binoculars for protection, but if the need should arise, you'll be thankful they're on hand, easy to use, and reliable. How Night Vision Binoculars WorkAll NV devices, from night vision binoculars to NV rifle scopes or goggles, work in the same basic way. NV products run on four basic components: a power source, a lens, a tube, and an eye piece. Three of these components are very simple, and one component, the tube, is the heart of these ingenious devices. The lens takes the light in. The light can be very minimal. Starlight is enough. Most binoculars can even work in absolute, pitch black, because they come with an infrared light source. Infrared light may be invisible to the naked eye, but a beam of it sheds enough light to allow your goggles or binoculars to work. This light is focused into the tube, where processes turn the photons into electrons. These electrons are multiplied, then thrown onto a screen. When you look through the eye piece, you are viewing this screen. You are now able to see in the dark. ![]() Get all Night Vision articles via
