Binding Machines
Binding SuppliesOnce you have found a binding machine that works for you and your needs, you are going to want some binding supplies. Obviously, your machine will help you bind, but it doesn't have an endless supply the material you are using to bind. Depending on the demands of your business, you can order in different quantities, colors and size. Buying in bulk may save you some money as well. Binding Supplies for Binding OptionsWhen you are doing comb binding, you will need the actual combs. Your machine will assist in punching your document, but you have to have the combs to thread the document. You can order in many diameters from very small, up to several inches. You will also have the creative control to pick out of an array of colors. Maybe you will want to use a color that goes along with your school, company, or has to do with the topic at hand. When using coil binding, you will need the coils for binding supplies. You will also need a cutter to cut the coil and a crimper to crimp the ends so that your binding does not start curling out of your document. Many machines will punch holes for you (some can do this electrically), and other will cut and crimp for you. If this last one is the case with your machine, you will not need to have a separate crimper. Your binding supplies for Velo binding will consist of the Velo strips. You can get these in lengths anywhere from short to long, and you can get various pin lengths to accommodate thicker projects. The strips generally come in black or blue, but you can find other colors if you really look. Your order, generally, will come with a hundred or more strips in a box. ![]() Get all Binding Machines articles via
