Chinese ringtones are one of several international options for unique cell phone rings. These special tunes and effects from the orient have been created for use in China, but they can also be downloaded by Chinese people living in other countries, and non-Chinese people who respect other cultures. Options include popular Chinese songs, tunes from Chinese movies, and even Chinese-spoken messages.

People residing in China are not the only ones who enjoy Chinese ringtones. Those who have emigrated from China can make their cell phones sing out the melodies popular in their home country. Leaving China does not mean people have to abandon their heritage, as popular Chinese music can be enjoyed any place a cell phone gets reception.

Some ringtones are actually spoken in Chinese.
