When looking for industrial magnets, there are a few main factors you will want to consider. Some of these are weight, width, length, thickness and height. You want to make sure your magnet is in proportion to what you are lifting, holding or moving.

You will also want to take a look at the coatings on magnets. You want to make sure you have the right one for what you will be doing. Some coatings can produce small flecks when used often, so you will want to consider this. Other coatings don't react well with certain other substances. Also, know what shape is best for your use.
