Immigration And Naturalization FormsImmigration and naturalization forms are the gateways to legal entry into the United States. Not only is there a form for every procedure, there seemingly is a form for every step within that procedure. Every possible circumstance has been anticipated, and every circumstance has a form that must be correctly filled out in order to initiate the procedure. Fortunately, the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) has two main ways to access information not only about the procedures, but about the forms and their content. The National Customer Service Center (NCSC) has 800 numbers available in English and Spanish for people calling within the United States for assistance. This is far easier than writing and waiting for a reply, or taking time off from work to go to the nearest immigration office. Immigration and Naturalization Forms AssistanceAutomated information is available 24 hours a day; live assistance is available in the continental U.S. from 8 AM to 6 PM local time. Forms can be ordered through this automated service; fees, and filing and other aspects of the immigration process are outlined. The locations and hours of field offices are provided, as well as many other important details about immigration and naturalization forms and procedures. Another convenient way to access immigration and naturalization forms is to go online. The BCIS website offers several important services, and many forms can not only be downloaded, but can be efiled as well. This would include several forms that apply to workers and employment, but also Form I-131, which is an Application for Travel Document, and I-539, an Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status. ![]() Get all Immigration Law articles via
