Golf at Waikoloa is Unsurpassed

The Beach Course is located along the Anaeho'omalu Bay, literally resting on a bed of lava. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones to be a challenge to even very good golfers. It is characterized by numerous white sand bunkers and water features. The par-5 twelfth hole is probably the most famous oceanfront hole in golf. The Beach Course often hosts PGA and LPGA events.

Another place to try golf at Waikoloa is on the King's Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish. No membership is required here, so anybody can enjoy this unusual course, which resembles greens that one might see in Scotland. Long lakes, lots of grass and strategically placed white sand bunkers make this course a favorite among golfers of every skill level.

Both of these courses offer breathtaking views of the Kohala coastline, where humpback whales can be observed from the links in winter and lava formations rise dramatically along the shore.
