Sunless Tanning - Get the Perfect Tan

Exfoliating Towelettes

by Stacy Chbosky

I've tried a lot of different methods for exfoliating my skin, and so far, exfoliating towelettes are the best. Exfoliating is a very important part of my skin care regimen. I find that whenever my facial skin looks dull, sluggish, or tired, all I need to do is exfoliate to get it moist and fresh again.

Exfoliating Towelettes Versus Exfoliating Creams

I used to use exfoliating creams. You know the kind--the base is sort of a greasy cold cream, and the exfoliator is made up of little bits and granules of sea shell or fruit pit. They always sound very natural and nice, but the results are only so-so.

First of all, whenever I used creams instead of exfoliating towelettes, I would end up not exfoliating often enough. I try to exfoliate two or three times a week, but I would usually blow it off to just a few times a month. I avoided it because it was just never convenient. You have to rub it in, wait, gently towel it off, and then wash your face. The whole thing takes too long, and is too messy.

Exfoliating towelettes are much easier. You just wipe them on, and you're done. I discovered these towelettes through sunless tanning. Sunless tanner goes on a lot better if you've just exfoliated. I started out by using the towelettes as a prep for tanning, and now I use them whenever I need to exfoliate.
