Personal Mastery

by Patricia Skinner

Anything you do to discipline yourself in your daily tasks will contribute to complete personal mastery. Look at all the supremely successful personalities throughout history, and you will find that they were all adept at personal mastery. To conquer the world, you must first conquer yourself.

Just a few people who achieved personal mastery throughout history include all the prophets, philosophers, and any successful businessman or inventor you've ever heard of. Just think of any big name, and you will be thinking about someone who knew what it was to master the self. To give of your best you have to harness your abilities. Without this skill, any talents you have will be left obscure, unused and unnoticed.

Success and Personal Mastery

Success gravitates towards a person who has attained personal mastery for several reasons. First, they emanate self confidence and ability. Second, they have what it takes to get things done. Part of the essence of success is charting a course for yourself. No matter how gifted you are, you'll never reach your goals if you don't have a plan to get there.

Whatever it is you want to do, whether it's planning a project or planning your life, personal mastery is key. You need to learn how to manage your time, and how to choose the tasks you accept in life, and those that you reject as not necessary to your overall plan. Being selective is the secret to making the most of every minute of time you have.
