Fall City Real EstateYou can't do much better in the Puget Sound area than Fall City real estate. Just 25 miles east of Seattle, Fall City is not only beautifully situated in the Pacific Northwest but convenient to the surrounding region as well. A quaint little town nestled along the banks of the Snoqualmie River, Fall City is a great place to call home! Getting to Know Fall City Real EstateSituated at the junction of Routes 203 and 202, Fall City takes its name from Snoqualmie Falls, just three miles down the road. The falls themselves--at 268 feet--are indeed spectacular, and one of the valley's renowned landmarks. (On an incidental note, they are in fact higher than Niagara, albeit significantly less wide, and the locale for a good many scenes from the television show Twin Peaks.) The name Snoqualmie is taken from a local American Indian tribe that dominated the region for centuries before European settlers arrived. The original name was Nisqually, which means "people of little account, but strong." With a town population of about 1,600, a mean age of about 39, and an average home price (for a three bedroom single-family dwelling) of about $500,000, it's fair to say that Fall City real estate is a good investment. If you're looking for a small town to raise a family, you've found a wonderful location. The region is decidedly well educated and the school system's correspondingly strong. Municipal and community efforts lean heavily toward local parks, youth sporting leagues, and gardening and landscaping for adults. Local recreational opportunities in the immediate Fall City real estate environs include three golf courses nestled into bends in the river, as well as numerous biking and hiking trails. Tiger Mountain State Forest lies just six or seven miles away. ![]() Get all Washington Real Estate articles via
