Snohomish Real EstateSnohomish real estate, whether you're talking about the historic community of 8,400 or the entire county, is without question a wonderful investment in an especially beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest. On one side are the estuary waters of the Puget Sound. On the other are the rugged, snow-touched Cascade Mountains. In between are vineyards, vast stretches of woodlands, rolling foothills, historic towns, and a wealth of recreational and cultural activities. Snohomish is, without a doubt, a great place to call home! A Quick Tour of Snohomish Real EstateThe county has four main urban centers--Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, and Marysville. Its other towns include Arlington, Bothell, Brier, Darrington, Gold Bar, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Mill Creek, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Smokey Point, Stanwood, Sultan, and Woodway. Almost all have a rich pioneering history. It's a lightly populated county (630,000), so without exception Snohomish real estate lines the main arteries. These are Interstate 5 north to south, paralleled by Highway 9, and Route 22 that runs west to east. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the city of Snohomish is especially noted for its marvelous Victorian and Arts & Crafts architecture. Known also as the antiques capital of the Northwest, it offers more than 400 antiques dealers. The median age of Snohomish residents is 34, and the average selling price of city of Snohomish real estate about $400,000 (median price at last census $170,000). Eight miles from the county seat of Everett and 26 miles from Seattle along Interstate 5, Snohomish is a convenient, as well as charming and healthy, community. No matter what Snohomish town or city you choose, however, you'll love living in the greater Puget Sound region. It's an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with any number of opportunities and locations for hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting, fishing, biking, and bird watching. Cultural activities include a number of outstanding annual festivals, including Seattle's renowned SeaFair, numerous vineyards, museums, and musical venues. It's a great place to live! ![]() Get all Washington Real Estate articles via
