Snohomish County Realtors

by Helen Glenn Court

Snohomish County realtors will open the door for you to one of Washington state's most beautiful stretches of landscape. About 68 percent of it is forested, 19 percent rural, and five percent agricultural. Only 8 percent is urban, but the county is one of the fastest growing in the state. Nonetheless, its population of approximately 630,000 is still notably lower than neighboring King County's 1.8 million, and the two are approximately the same size. Where in King County there are an average of 817 people per square mile, in Snohomish County there are only 290.

Looking for real estate in Snohomish, then, means looking along the Interstate 5 and Highway 9 corridor to the west. Highway 2 runs west to east and is dotted by a number of towns and small cities that are also candidates. It's a beautiful stretch of land, encompassing 2,089 square miles above King County and below Skagit.

Snohomish County Realtors: Your Guide

The major urban centers, Snohomish County realtors will explain, are Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, and Marysville. Edmonds, population 38,610, is proud to call itself "Western Washington's most friendly town." Everett, population 86,700, is the county seat and the largest city, established in 1891 by John D. Rockefeller and other Eastern developers. Lynnwood, population 33,100, is a shopper's paradise and extremely convenient to Seattle. Established in 1877, Marysville has a population of about 20,700 and is a thriving community on the Snohomish River.

Your advantage in turning to Snohomish County realtors is simple. They live and work here, know it very well indeed, and have a wealth of insider tips. More important, and a great combination, they're rigorously trained and licensed in real estate by the Washington Association of Realtors. Why not make the most of their expertise, as you search the Pacific Northwest for your own little slice of it?
