Uses of Data Storage Arrays

Arrays function separately from users' operating systems. They are invisible to the people who are accessing the information stored on them. When power outages occur, or when viruses find their way onto company networks, arrays successfully protect vital data, an essential function of any data backup system.

Because arrays can store so much information, they free up considerable disk space, thereby enhancing network performance.
