Alco ControlOwned by Emerson Climate Technologies, the Alco Control Company offers a wide range of HVAC system components. These components include, but are not limited to, solenoid valves, system protectors, pressure controls, thermostatic expansion valves and a variety of other commercial HVAC products. While not the biggest HVAC supplier in the world, they are quite comparable with other, more pronounced, companies. The most featured Alco Control products are the HMI and ACK Check valves. The HMI (Hermetic Moisture Indicator) is a revolutionary system by which a commercial refrigeration unit can detect damaging moisture before it does any real harm. The HMIs three-step gauge can detect three percent relative humidity, giving the repairperson a huge amount of time to fix any problems that are either present or about to take shape. The ACK Check valves ensure a zero percent leakage rate and are compatible with both discharge and liquid lines. A magnetic checking action is the key to preventing irregular flow patterns within the refrigerant unit's operating system. Due to their magnetic properties, these valves have the ability to be placed upside-down or sideways and can be installed with either a hard or a soft solder. Having Difficulties Finding Alco Control References?Alco Controls was founded in 1925 under the name Alco Valve Company and was acquired by Emerson in 1967. However, if you are having trouble finding Alco Control products, you may wish to search for the term "Flow Controls." This name was assigned to the Alco branch of the Emerson Climate Technologies Company in 2003. ![]() Get all Heating & Cooling articles via
