Johnson Control Valves

Written by Sierra Rein

No matter what one's HVAC needs are, Johnson control valves will be able to handle them. These valves are reliable, sturdy, and are known to be long lasting and easy to install. Backed by a three-year warranty, they come in a variety of model, shapes and sizes and can fit most ventilation systems.

The Johnson Company began in 1883 after Warren S. Johnson patented the first electrically powered room thermostat. Since then, the Johnson Controls Company continued to develop and perfect even more complex and innovative temperature control devices. By the end of the century, it carved a niche amongst all the top manufacturers of automotive and building systems.

Types of Johnson Control Valves

All Johnson control valves are ISO90000 certified and come in six major family groups. Some of the most popular are the Zone valves, which include two and three-way sweat and internal NPT end connections, and the Zone J-series valves which have floating connections and on/off capabilities. Butterfly valves are designed in electric, pneumatic and manually operated versions, while the VG7000 Bronze Globe valves come in either electric or pneumatic models.

Another valve family includes the Flanged Globe valves, a VG2000 series that comes in sizes ranging between two and a half to six inches. The VG1000 series Ball valves are built with electrically actuated assemblies and come in either two-way or three-way NPT threaded end connectors. They can be chosen in either brass or stainless steel and come with the same three-year manufacturer's warranty expected in all Johnson control valves.
