For those unfamiliar with the term, an actuator is the part of a refrigeration or heating unit that puts the process into an automated action. The History Behind Siebe Actuators

The Siebe Company first began as the brainchild of one Augustus Siebe, a British developer who invented one of the first diving helmets in 1819. The Siebe Company acquired the Foxboro Company (maker of machines and tools) in 1990 and the Triconex, APV and a myriad of other manufacturing companies in the late 1990s. Eventually, Siebe and a company called BTR merged to create what is now known as the Invensys Building Systems Corporation.
