Honeywell Air Cleaner Filters

Written by Sierra Rein

Honeywell air cleaner filters work like magnets to attract and trap harmful particles in the air. A mesh filter grabs these particles and gives them an electronic charge. Aluminum plates then collect these magnetized particles, allowing fresh and pleasant air to be re-circulated back into the room.

Examples of Honeywell Air Cleaner Filters to Choose From

Within Honeywell's line of surface-mounted air cleaners can be found the new F92C Electronic Static Air Cleaner. This cleaner uses a filter with a three-speed fan (two normal speeds and one booster speed) and features an odor-removing carbon filter for smells generated by such things as tobacco, cooking smoke, pets and garbage. These Honeywell air cleaner filters can be placed anywhere there are offensive odors, like kitchens, nurseries, and cat litter boxes.

Recessed air cleaners use much of the same types of filters as surface-mounted ones, only the entire units are placed within walls, ceilings or floors. The F57 range of Honeywell air cleaner filters are made for false ceilings and provide four-way air discharge. Air can thus be filtered from four different areas of the room and dispersed and distributed evenly throughout the room.

Maintaining Honeywell air cleaner filters is easy. As long as the cell's collecting plates are cleaned of all the build up of dirt, dust and contaminant particles, the filter will perform for an extremely long time. Honeywell offers a number of servicing and maintenance kits and manuals to allow any Honeywell filter owner to perform this cleaning service himself.
