Carrier Thermostats

In the world of air conditioning controllers, Carrier thermostats hold as a strong lead. The Carrier Company divides all of its thermostat products into two groups: residential and commercial items. Residential Carrier thermostats are designed mostly with performance and comfort in mind, while commercial thermostats a lot more options, including energy-saving devices and tamper-resistant security options.

There are three major types of commercial Carrier thermostats: fan coil, packaged terminal air conditioner, and water source heat pump thermostats. The choice between the two types should not rely only on the space and the installed air conditioner, but on the forms and functionalities of each particular thermostat. Some residential thermostats are more suited for professional, "commercial" venues, while a few office thermostats could be well appreciated at home.

Fain coil thermostats are either programmable or non-programmable and are fitted with NEVERLOST memory software for a variety of configuration settings. Packaged terminal air conditioners use indoor coil freeze protection plates and low voltage controls that are perfect for remote operation. Finally, water source heat pump thermostats control the programs and functions of an HVAC system to regulate and control heating and cooling sets.

Perhaps the most versatile of all residential thermostats by Carrier is the Deluxe Programmable Thermostat (found within the Performance Series). This programmable unit can be retrofitted for four wire applications and is designed to blend in, not to compromise, the decor of any living and office space. A backlit LCD display can illuminate a number of different user options, from "copy" and "hold" functions to seven-day programmability within four separate time periods.
