Omega Watches

by Serena Berger

Omega watches are elegant, timeless, and always tasteful. One of the big names in Swiss watches, Omega stands out as the only watch ever to have been on the moon. Omega is integrally involved in NASA and the space program, and their innovations have been used in a lot of precision equipment beyond personal timepieces.

Omega Watches: On the Moon and On Your Wrist

The Speedmaster series is the one which was worn on the moon in the 1960s, and has been beloved the world over ever since. Currently, Omega is offering a limited edition series which features the hands of the original Speedmaster along with a new state-of-the-art chronograph mechanism. These watches are available in many different colors of gold, but all in limited numbers.

The Speedmaster Professional is the single most popular of the Omega watches. This substantial and elegant gentleman's watch is made of stainless steel with a hesalite crystal and black aluminium ring bezel with a tachometer scale. Though the watch itself is anything but flashy, true aficionados of great jewelry will surely recognize and appreciate the world-class features of a piece like this.

If going to the moon doesn't sound like your style, Omega is also the official watch of the James Bond series. A great gift for the man in your life would be an Omega watch, as worn by 007, arguably the quintessential man's man and certainly an icon of style. The Constellation line of Omega watches is perhaps the most understated, and uses the more precious metals, while the Quadra line is more sporty and bolder than many of the classic lines. Omega does not sell watches online, so you will have to visit an authorized dealer to have the experience of wearing one of these wonderful timepieces.
