Texas Wedding
Romantic Country WeddingsAre romantic country weddings more romantic because they are in the country, or because they don't have all the bells and whistles (or hassles!) of a traditional church wedding? Good question. There's only one way to find out. If the stress of a normal wedding is taking all the fun out of it, maybe a simpler wedding is what you need. Really, all you need to have a wedding is two people in love (and, of course, witnesses and someone to perform the service). Extravagant ceremonies that are busy with activities day and night sometimes distract from what the whole thing is all about: a couple of people exchanging vows. That's what romance is all about; everything else is just icing on the cake. A Romantic Wedding Creates Lasting MemoriesAn old-time simple wedding with gingham table clothes and hand-picked flowers is sometimes all you need to create a memory that everyone will share. Typical weddings are a dime a dozen; everyone does pretty much the same thing and after a while they appear as a blur in your memory. Weddings that are a little off the beaten path stand out. If you slow down enough to smell the flowers and simplify the ceremony to a country pace--who needs speeding limousines on a Texas ranch anyway?--you really change the focus of the wedding to people. What's more romantic than two people coming together in a simple ceremony with plenty of Southern hospitality and Texas friendliness? If someone tells you romance is dead, don't believe them . . . you just have to slow down to see it. ![]() Get all Texas Travel articles via
