Motorola cell phones are available for most of the major U.S. cellular carriers: AT&T, Cingular, Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon. Sprint is the only company that does not at this time allows Motorola phones to be used on their network. Motorola cell phones work on CDMA, TDMA and GSM networks, so they can be used virtually anywhere in the world.

Motorola Cell Phones: A Variety of Models

While Motorola offers cell phones for most of the major types of cellular networks, their best models are pretty much reserved for GSM users. The reason for this is that GSM is widely regarded as the best and most advanced type of network, and many cellular carriers have been upgrading their systems to work on GSM. If you're an AT&T, T-Mobile or Cingular user, you can use any of Motorola's GSM phones.

Like most other manufacturers, Motorola offers cell phones in both flip-phone and regular styles. Virtually all of their phones now offer color screens, even the cheap or free models given away by cellular carriers. SMS capability and downloadable ringtones are also common features on most Motorola cell phones.

The most expensive Motorola cell phone models offer some pretty incredible features. The V600 (available for T-Mobile users) is a flip-phone that includes Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to an integrated camera and both Polyphonic and MP3 Ringtones. It is a tri-band GSM phone that works on 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz so you can bring it with you when traveling out of the country.
