T-Mobile Cell Phones

by Charles Peacock

T-Mobile cell phones are available from all the major cell phone manufacturers. Because T-Mobile utilizes SIM card-based GSM technology, you can actually use any GSM phone that accepts a SIM card (and works on the same GSM frequency that T-Mobile uses), so you don't necessarily even have to buy a phone from T-Mobile. If you're in the market for T-Mobile cell phones, you should probably base your decision on what features you'd like to have in your phone.

Features of T-Mobile Cell Phones

T-Mobile sells phones made by Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens and Sony Ericsson. The majority of their models, however, are Nokia, Motorola and Samsung. This is good for T-Mobile subscribers since those companies make some of the best phones on the market.

A great thing about T-Mobile's GSM technology is that it allows for easy text messaging. Other providers require you to set up wireless web services before you can send text messages, and accessing your messages can be a complicated process. On T-Mobile phones, you typically press a single button and start typing away.

Only a year or two ago, text messaging was the latest and greatest feature available on T-Mobile phones. Today, you can find T-Mobile cell phones (relatively cheaply) that offer things like a built-in camera and an MP3 player. If you sign up for a long-term contract, you can even get some of these phones free of charge.
