NEC Cell Phones

NEC cell phones have been on the market for several years now, but the company has never offered more than a few models. Currently, NEC cell phones are only available in two different models (at least in the American market). This doesn't mean their phones are anything less than cutting-edge, however--the NEC 515 and 525 are both top-of-the-line digital devices.

Choosing between NEC Cell Phones

The 515 is the most basic of the two NEC cell phones. It is still quite a sophisticated piece of equipment, offering the same features that other manufacturers reserve for their most expensive models. To start, the 515 boasts a large sized, 2.2 inch high definition screen that can produce 65,536 colors.

While the 515 does not have a built-in camera, it does have the ability to send and receive pictures. One of the neatest features is the ability to attach pictures to specific incoming callers, so when your friends call you you can be alerted with their smiling picture on your phone's screen! The 515 also allows you to download and use 16-bit wallpapers and screensavers.

The NEC 525 improves on the 515 in two major ways. It has a built-in digital camera, and it also features a small LCD screen on the outside of the flip-top. This outside screen is 1 inch square, and it is the same type of high definition color display as the inside screen.
