Children's Dance Wear

Children's dance wear is designed to fit and appeal to young dancers. Dance wear items are available in tots, extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large sizes for children. A variety of colors are available for children, so you can always find their favorite colors in clothing. Children's clothing can be found in many of the same styles as adult clothing, but they usually have more elaborate prints and embellishments than adult dance wear items.

Children's Dance Wear Options

Children's dance wear is available from dance wear companies such as Bloch, Capezio, Danskin, and Eurotard. Leotards are the most commonly purchased of all dance wear items. Children's leotards are available in tank, camisole, turtleneck, short sleeve, long sleeve, and puffed sleeve styles. Many of the children's leotards have embellishments such as bows, glitter, sequins, or rhinestones. Some have prints of butterflies, angels, princesses, or animals.

Children's leotards are often made from the same materials as adult leotards. Many of the leotard styles are lined in front so they do not appear to be see-through. Capezio and Danskin tend to make their children's leotards from nylon materials. Eurotard and Bloch both use a cotton Lycra blend for their leotards.

Another popular item in children's dance wear is dance skirts. Eurotard and Capezio make the best varieties in children's dance skirts. Children can find sheer skirts, double layer pull-on skirts, pull-on georgette skirts, tapered chiffon skirts, flower print skirts, and classic wrap skirts that can be worn in ballet class. They are available in the colors of black, white, pink, light blue, purple, green, and royal blue.
