Digital cameras are quickly becoming more popular than conventional cameras. The United States and cultures similar to ours have fallen in love with the concept of instant gratification. We want great products with great quality right now. Digital cameras satisfy that need, providing users instant access to their photographs. People no longer have to wait for their pictures to be developed.

Digital cameras are especially great around the holidays, specifically for those families that don't get a number of opportunities to be with one another. Take my family for instance--we live all over the United States. Every Christmas and Thanksgiving we convene in Houston, Texas to be with our extended family. Actually, we often have to pick one major holiday over another because many of us are either married or in serious relationships, which usually means splitting holidays.

The so-called holidays are just around the corner and many people are stressed out about gifts. I personally believe there are a few gifts that are sure things. In my experience, digital cameras are as close to a sure thing as you can get. Women love them and men love them. They are fun, easy to use, and appropriate all year round. If you know someone with a family and you know they don't have a digital camera, take my advice and consider getting them one.

More and more companies are rolling out new models, which means better quality and lower prices.
