European train vacations are some of the most fun and memorable you will ever have. This doesn't mean you will be spending all of your time on a train. It means you will see as much of Europe as you possibly can. You will travel through this beautiful continent by train. For European train vacations, I recommend that you get some sort of rail pass. You might want to get a Eurail pass. This will allow you to travel freely among several countries. A train pass works like this: you get a pass that is good for a certain number of days for a certain number of countries. Let's say you will be in Europe for two months. If you plan on traveling the entire time, get a pass that's good for two months for the countries you want to see.

Some people, however, may only plan to do a few days of travel during the two months. For those, you can get a pass that is good for 10, 12 or 15 days of travel, but doesn't expire for two months. When you buy passes like these, you save a large amount of money.
