Used Mercedes retain their value over the years. Maybe it's because of the fine German craftsmanship. Maybe it's because Mercedes owners tend to be fanatics about maintenance, always babying the car with the best mechanic. But whatever the reason, a used Mercedes is often one of the best buys in used cars, and used car dealers put them in a very prominent place on their lot, because they know they will attract a lot of buyers.

Different Models of Used Mercedes

There are many fine models of used Mercedes to choose from now. Often a pre-owned vehicle is in almost pristine condition, yet you can buy it for thousands off of the original price. Some of the most popular models are the C230 and the C240. Economical and sporty, these C-class cars have medium horsepower but a large range of luxury options. They feature anti-lock brakes, the intercooled supercharger, curtain front and rear airbags with a special child-seat airbag sensor, and side door mounted airbags.

The more expensive C320 has a 3.2L V-6 engine with 215 HP. It features a six speed manual transmission. The classy convertibles, the CLK 320 and 430, have either the 215 HP engine or the upgraded 430 version, a 4.3L V-8 engine with 275 HP.

Last but not least, used Mercedes SUVs are an excellent buy. The E320 has a V-6 engine with 221 HP and a five speed automatic drive. The ML 350 has a 3.7L V-6 engine with 232 HP. The powerful ML500 model boasts 288 HP.
