Concert Tickets - Buy Tickets Online
Cheap Concert TicketsCheap concert tickets are fast becoming extinct in a market that thrives off premium prices and sold-out arenas. That said, there are still a few ways to find cheap tickets if you're willing to put in the effort. These days, the majority of such opportunities are found online, where ticket brokers and fans conduct the bulk of their business. One trick for finding cheap concert tickets is holding out for "arena rock" bands that play 60,000- and 70,000-seat venues. Even a band such as U2 or the Rolling Stones, that commands top dollar for live shows rarely fills football stadiums to overflowing capacity. As the date of the show approaches, ticket brokers grow increasingly skittish about their investments and look to unload their inventory, often at sharply reduced prices. Tips for Finding Cheap Concert TicketsIn addition to targeting shows at bigger venues, it's also smart to focus on performances that run two or three nights. Promoters add dates for shows when they feel the added revenues will offset the enormous costs of staging such events. While these promoters are bright business people, they are nevertheless wrong from time to time. If interest wanes after night one, there's a strong bet that ticket prices will reflect this on night two. Time to line up outside the concourse and take your best shot. If heading down to the arena in person is unfeasible, you can still harness the power of the free-market economy from afar. Ticket brokers know when they've taken a licking, and they also know that you know--at least if you've just read a scathing review of the concert's first night. Use that knowledge to help negotiate cheap prices on night two. Keep in mind that the alternative to selling cheap, for a broker, is not selling at all! The same principle will apply to internet based ticket brokers, sometimes with even greater savings. ![]() Get all Tickets articles via
