Asheville North Carolina Hotels And Motels

by Stephanie Dula

Asheville, North Carolina boasts plenty of hotels and motels, as well as large resorts and cozy B&Bs. The area around Asheville is home to plenty of rustic cabins and campgrounds in which to enjoy the stunning mountain scenery. Known as the "Paris of the South," Asheville has accommodations and attractions galore.

A native to this area, I've seen Asheville grow from its roots as a tiny Southern town into a major tourist destination. The city has much to offer visitors, beginning with its convenient location in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mt. Pisgah, Mt. Mitchell State Park and the Smoky Mountains National Park are just a few of the scenic wonders easily accessed by the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Historic Asheville

Downtown Asheville has seen a huge surge in economic development in recent years, with new shops, restaurants, and nightspots continually moving in. The historic downtown area has seen major renovation, with parks and public areas following suit. Like other historic areas, Asheville hosts several cultural events and annual festivals worth checking out when visiting the area.

There are plenty of accommodations in close proximity to the historic areas of Montford and Biltmore Village as well. Large chain hotels and motels are nearby in the east, west, and southern areas of the city. All of these lodgings can generally be reserved online via numerous travel websites.
