Atlanta Georgia Hotels And MotelsAtlanta is one of the largest cities in the Southeast, and depending on what kind of lodging experiences one is hoping for, there are a host of hotels, motels, and other accommodations to choose from. Atlanta is chock full of attractions for vacationers and conveniences for the business traveler. The city is made up of specific neighborhoods and districts each with their own flair. Atlanta NeighborhoodsWhile downtown is the main financial and business center of the city, there aren't a whole lot of tourist attractions or nightlife spots here. That may be changing, however, as more residential areas are springing up downtown. There are still plenty of hotels and motels in the area from which to choose that offer a good starting point from which to explore the rest of city, including the Atlanta Braves' Turner Field just south of downtown. Both the Virginia-Highland and Little Five Points neighborhoods offer a visitor-friendly atmosphere with their cafes, antique shops, bookstores, and notable galleries. The Midtown section of Atlanta is home to Piedmont and Ansley Parks as well as plenty of venues for live performance. The city's public transit system, the MARTA, is an affordable way to get from place to place in Atlanta. Atlanta's many hotels and motels can be reserved online, complete with information on nearby dining and shopping venues. Atlanta is a shopper's paradise, complete with everything from large malls and outlet stores to trendy boutiques and bookstores. There are also several permanent and monthly flea markets in Atlanta worth checking out to find unique wares at good prices. ![]() Get all Florida Travel articles via
