Motor Scooters For SaleIf you're anything like me, when you see a sign that says motor scooters for sale, you start feeling like a kid in a candy store. I fell in love with motor scooters many years ago while living in Italy. I'll always remember my first Vespa, midnight blue, in great condition, and so much fun. It was that scooter that started my life time love affair with motor scooters. When I got back to the states, I tried desperately to find a scooter here to take the place of the beloved one I left behind, but at the time most motorcycle shops did not have a great selection of motor scooters for sale. Times have changed, however, and now more and more bike shops are selling scooters and there are stores that sell scooters exclusively. The Internet is also a great place to look for motor scooters for sale. Scooter popularity has jumped dramatically in recent years. One estimate puts scooter sales in 2004 at over 100,000 units. Now that is a lot of scooters! These numbers shouldn't be surprising at all. Scooters are one of the most practical methods of transportation imaginable. With gas prices increasing, it makes sense that many people would seek out a more fuel efficient ride than some gas guzzling giant S.U.V. A Warning About Motor Scooters for SaleWith all the companies out there now offering motor scooters for sale, I will offer one word of caution. Some dealers, especially on the Internet, need to be scrutinized up close before you buy. Some dealers resell used scooters with improper replacement parts that do not meet safety regulations. They could be dangerous. Make sure to buy scooters and parts only from licensed dealers to avoid any possible safety problems. ![]() Get all Motorcycles articles via
