Video Conferencing Uses

by Amy Hall

Video conferencing uses are many, as companies all over the world use such technology to grow and communicate with greater ease. In addition, many employers use video conferencing to conduct interviews with job candidates, instead of arranging face-to-face interviews. Although a face-to-face interview may be preferable, it can also be more expensive if the job candidate lives far away.

When employers utilize web conference interviews, they can still see and hear the candidate, but they do not have the worry or the expense of providing travel accommodations. Some companies rely solely on the web interview, while others use it as a prelude to the in-person interview. Regardless of why or how it is used, one thing is for certain--companies are jumping at the chance to employ web conferencing.

Web conferencing can also be used to hold meetings within a company that has various branches in different geographic locations. The technology available to businesses today has made it infinitely more possible to conduct day-to-day transactions with much more ease. There is no longer the problem of distance, as the Web virtually connects everyone with a computer and internet access.

Conferencing in the 21st Century

As technology continues to expand, businesses are reaping the benefits. Video conferencing has opened up a whole new world of communication for businesses all over the United States and abroad. Different time zones no longer hinder a company's ability to hold meetings with clients or other office branches. Furthermore, those companies looking to hire qualified candidates can conduct interviews entirely via the Web, which is perhaps the most convenient method of conducting a job interview today. It is easy for all parties, and also conveys a strong message about the company that uses such forward-thinking methodologies.
