Memphis Hotels And Motels

by Stephanie Dula

People come to Memphis from all over the world to pay their respects to Elvis Pressley and step back into time on legendary Beale Street. Memphis also happens to be the largest city in Tennessee and offers a host of cultural and historical attractions. There is no shortage of hotels, motels, and other accommodations in the city, most of which can be reserved online.

Graceland

Elvis Presley's mansion, Graceland, is perhaps the most famous Memphis area attraction, being the second most visited home in the U.S. behind the White House. Visitors can tour the rock legend's home and grave, as well as the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum. This attraction features his 1955 pink Cadillac and other vintage cars and motorcycles.

Graceland hosts several annual events, during which numerous festivities take place, commemorating the King's birthday in January, and his death in August. During these times, Graceland will be crowded and nearby accommodations may be scarce. It's important to know ahead of time what to expect when planning a trip to Memphis.

Elvis fans will also want to visit Beale Street and Sun Studio, where he made his first recordings. There is no shortage of significant sites in Memphis where musical history was made, including rock and roll, blues, soul, and country. Having a good Memphis travel guide will help music lovers find all the best attractions, as well as hotels and motels in the area.
