Woodland Hills Real Estate
Malibu Real EstateMalibu has a reputation for being one of the most glamorous places to buy a home in the Los Angeles area. That reputation is somewhat deserved as the most visible houses in the area are enormous beachfront homes. However, if you aren't working with an unlimited budget, buyers can find smaller homes, homes further from the beach, and duplexes. There's even a shabby-chic trailer home area nearby. Most people who live in Malibu are a stone's throw from the beach and the highway. Some are lucky enough to have the Pacific Ocean in their back yard. For those who don't have an unobstructed view of the beach from their homes, there's the Malibu State Beach and Topanga State Beach that are public. As a result of the high demand for property in Malibu, prices are usually high. Movie and television stars regularly inhabit the area to enjoy the warm beaches and relaxing solitude. Malibu is mostly residential, though there are interesting shops and restaurants in and around the city. Geography in MalibuMountains bordering Malibu on one side and serene beaches on the other make Malibu a desirable place to live. The diverse geographical elements are all within a few miles of each other. At some points in the city, you can literally walk right off the beach for a hike along the hills and canyon. The Pacific Coast Highway, or PCH, runs through most of the city of Malibu, right along the beach. Driving along the PCH is beautiful and exhilarating as you watch the beaches and mountains roll by. ![]() Get all California Real Estate articles via
