Outdoor Sheds
Plastic ShedsWho out there wouldn't appreciate a little extra space? It always seems like the garage is a little too small or the basement is too damp or inconvenient to store things. People who are avid hobbyists, gardeners, woodworkers, or just compulsive shoppers could probably use a shed to store the overflow items in their lives. Plastic sheds are a quick and easy solution to the ever-present modern-day problem of too much stuff. It's important to keep your tools and other items organized and protected from the elements. Or from you tripping over them! By assigning your gardening tools or sports equipment to their own shed, the things you need are always right at hand--not at your feet, where they've slid off an overcrowded shelf to the floor. And when you can find your things and know they're in good shape, you may find yourself using them more, getting your projects finished, and generally enriching the quality of your life. Plastic storage sheds are also good for storing chemicals and other items you don't want to keep in the house. Solvents like turpentine, or other potentially dangerous (and/or flammable) substances such as fertilizer, antifreeze or paint should also be kept away from places that are easily accessible to children or animals. Most plastic sheds can be securely locked to keep little fingers from exploring where they don't belong. It's also a good idea to securely store away things animals--like skunks or raccoons--are always after, like birdseed or the garbage. Keep Items Safe in a Plastic ShedA heavy-duty plastic shed will last for years and years, resisting rot, mold, rust, and mildew. Plastic sheds also are generally easy to construct, and don't need yearly maintenance like painting or reshingling. And since most come complete with foundation kits, you don't have to worry about unstable surfaces. ![]() Get all Gardens articles via
