A good real estate agent will be able to provide relocation information to his or her clients that will assist with the moving process. This should include mover recommendations, information about Tucson, as well as information about job opportunities, taxes and government facilities.

Relocating to a new city can be an arduous task for anyone, especially if there are children involved. The best time to move children is in the summer because they are out of school for the year. A real estate agent should also be able to provide information about schools in the Tucson area.

Things to Remember When Relocating

Before moving to a new area like Tucson, there are many arrangements that must be made. One of the first of these is to fill out a change of address card for mail and tax purposes. A good idea is also to obtain copies of medical and dental records and seek referrals for health professionals in the new area. Hire a qualified moving company with current and sufficient insurance, and take an inventory of all of the items that are being transported.

It is also a good idea to set-up some things in the new town even before arriving. Obtain a checking account at a local bank because some places will not take checks from out of the area. Arrange to have utility services switched to the new address so that they are all working upon arrival. If the new property is a condominium in an elevator building, arrange to reserve the elevator for the move-in day. Taking care of these things will make the relocation process a lot smoother.
